unlisted (11) 1902 ½d green Mount Cook of New Zealand horizontal pair, typeset surcharge in red NIUE. \ ½ PENI SG Type 2 on Cowan paper, wmkd single-lined NZ and Star (SG Type 43), VARIETY - mixed perfs, with a vertical official patch on reverse over the vertical mis-aligned perf 14 through design on left stamp then reperforated 11 vertically through margins on obverse and official patch on reverse. If the horizontal pair was separated it would result with left stamp perf 14x11x14x14 and right stamp perf 14x14x14x11 as the patch between the stamps is ONLY PERF 11 on the reverse which was it's purpose, to correct perforations to the vertical margin, an extremely rare variety which we believe only occurred in one vertical row on one pane, a very nicely centered pair, ex-Dr. Gyp, OG, HR, VF-S, with BPA certificate
