Crazy Horse was a Native American war leader of the Oglala
Lakota. He took up arms against the U.S. Federal government to
fight against encroachments on the territories and way of life of
the Lakota people, including leading a war party to victory at the
Battle of the Little Bighorn in June 1876.
Four months after surrendering to U.S. troops under General Crook
in May 1877, Crazy Horse was fatally wounded by a military guard,
using his bayonet, while resisting imprisonment at Camp Robinson in
present-day Nebraska. He ranks among the most notable and iconic of
Native American tribal members and has been honored by the U.S.
Postal Service with a 13¢ Great Americans series postage stamp.
You will receive One Ounce .999 pure copper and is in brilliant
uncirculated condition with reeded edges. These came to me direct
from the factory, so they're as new as you can
get. . *PLEASE NOTE* These are not "proof" rounds.
They ARE brand new, but some may have manufacturing marks, nicks or
smudges due to the production process. These are not minted with
the same individual care as, for example, a 1oz silver or Gold
American Eagle. Rather, these are mass produced (as ALL 1-oz copper
rounds are). But rest assured they are brand new. and are privately
minted in the USA by AOCS.
........VERY
IMPORTANT !!
Why Buy Copper?
Copper rounds are extremely popular right now, being a very
affordable option for both those who want to diversify their
precious metals and those who are just getting into precious metals
investment. Some are predicting copper to be the next silver. Over
the last 5 years it has outperformed both gold, silver, and
platinum at an astonishing 390% price increase. Silver went up only
185%, and gold only 150%.
So Why Buy Rounds as Opposed to Bars or Other "Raw" Forms of
Copper?
1-ounce rounds are simply an easier, more widely recognizable, and
convenient way to divvy up your copper investment than
bars. Copper rounds are a much more versatile bartering tool
than silver or gold. You can't really cut a silver American Eagle
in half if you need a smaller denomination, nor does a copper bar
hold the same type of bartering power as a stack of beautiful
copper rounds. Next to silver they're the most
intrinsically-valuable 1-ounce round you can buy new right
now.
Are These US Currency?
No, these are not currency or legal tender, nor are they "replicas"
of any currency. The obverse designs may be similar, but there is
absolutely no US Currency with the same design, weight, size, and
composition of these rounds. These are privately minted "bullion"
copper in 1 oz increments, solely for the purposes of investing,
bartering, or gifting.
